We encourage your child to discover themselves by exploring their interests and the world through nature, collaborative projects and relationships.

At Highton Preschool our large outdoor play spaces are just the beginning of fun learning for your child. We encourage your child to discover themselves by exploring their interests and the world through nature, collaborative projects and relationships. Our curriculum is influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education.

During terms 2 and 3, your child can attend our bush kinder program at Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre. The program allows your child to use their imagination and initiative to create their own games and develop a growing appreciation for the natural environment. They’ll learn about the culture of our First Nations people, as an element of our inclusive and anti-bias curriculum.

Our passionate team recognises the importance of the family unit and strives to support families in their parenting role. We encourage families to join in ‘Stay and Play’ days where we can celebrate the richness of different cultures through music, cooking and life experiences.

Our preschool is located within the Highton Child and Family Hub, where you’ll also find maternal and child health services, playgroups and other community facilities.
